user research: qualitative feedback
q: is there additional information needed to prepare for an appointment with [an active patient]?
"I need the room the patient is in, the patient's date of birth, any notes from the director that are important to know about this patient.”
q: describe how you currently keep track of your appointments, patients and their information.
"At my location, the setting of specific appointments is laughable. Since we are dealing with humans and multiple moving pieces-meals, toileting, nursing family visits, flexibility is king. I usually have a printed schedule that lists my patients, number of minutes, and documents. I hand write on the daily printed schedule any pertinent notes which I usually get word of mouth or via email"
q: how does preparation differ between new and existing patients?
“For new patients I have to read each goal , look at precautions and know what equipment they need in order to do the treatment. With existing patients, I already know this, but may need reminders depending on how many patients I am seeing."
